Thick Wall Geiger-Mueller Tubes

Tubes can be built for operation in high temperatures, up to 200°C, and for high shock and vibration environments. Thin Wall Geiger-Mueller Tubes
Thin-wall cylindrical Geiger-Mueller tubes are machined to produce cathodes with very thin cross-sectional areas. This allows high energy beta particles to enter, making these particular tubes sensitive to both gamma and high energy beta particles.
